GOLF CONDITIONING PROGRAM
In the new age of athletics, golfers are beginning to
improve their skills and potential through fitness and
athletic training. Just as is in baseball and tennis,
sports-specific training is evolving as a primary way
to improve a golfer’s game. Golf requires a unique
combination of power and coordination.The major fitness
components of golf are functional strength, dynamic
flexibility, postural balance, and complete coordination
between the lower and upper body. These athletic dimensions
are required to see the ball and drive it straight,
while using excellent depth perception and a measured
putt once you’re on the green. At its best, golf
combines the high-velocity movements of a discuss thrower,
the precise skill and balance of a gymnast and the hands
of a shooting guard. The simple fact is, each component
